Blairgowrie High School has almost 1000 students from Blairgowrie and the surrounding area.

The current headmaster is Paul Cunningham.

In 2005, the school was one of the first twenty eight schools in Scotland to be awarded Schools of Ambition status.

Notable former pupils include:

  • Fred MacAulay - comedian
  • Dougie MacLean - singer songwriter who wrote the song Caledonia
  • Luke Sutherland - author
