Pat Richards
Pat initially qualified as a teacher in 1968, going on to work in primary schools across England then Ayrshire, before moving into private nursery education for ten years prior to retirement in 2007. She then worked for National Trust Scotland for a time before moving to Blairgowrie in 2012. Pat has volunteered for most of her adult life including WRVS in the 70’s delivering Meals on Wheels, for the Scout Association as a Beaver leader and at various schools across the land hearing readers, mending books, doing art activities and cooking/baking. Pat enjoys being with her grandchildren, gardening, cooking and volunteering with BRDT – Booklore and One Voice. Pat’s role within BRDT as a trustee is to oversee the running of Booklore alongside the other volunteers; acting as secretary for One Voice, fundraising and working as part of the Hub magazine production team.
